You will be charged $150 for your first appointment. You can claim $72.75 of this back from Medicare.
You will be charged $80 for each follow-up appointment. You can claim $36.55 of this back from Medicare.
You will not be charged for the first one or two postoperative appointments.
Cost of Surgery
All patients with private insurance will be charged a $400 out of pocket surgical fee. No one with insurance will be charged more than $400.
There are likely to be additional costs for the anaesthetist and surgical assistant. The amount of these varies depending on the type of surgery, the individual anaesthetist and your insurance company. The total may be several hundred dollars. We will make sure that you know exactly what it will cost before you agree to proceed.
