Mr Simon Talbot MBChB FRACS

Orthopaedic Surgeon

He completed his medical degree from Otago Medical School in New Zealand in 1994, and his specialty training as an orthopaedic surgeon from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2004.

Mr. Talbot is one of the foremost users in Australia of pre-op CT planning and the advanced medial pivot design which allows high precision implant placement and gives greater stability to the knee.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (acl) Reconstruction

An ACL injury most commonly occurs during sports that involve twisting or overextending your knee. The ACL can be injured in several ways:

  • Sudden directional change in motion
  • Slowing down while running
  • Improper landing from a jump
  • A direct blow to the side of your knee, such as during a football tackle
